Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – September 24, 2026

The naira weakened marginally against the US dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, according to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data.

The official rate moved by about ₦0.72 day-on-day, while the parallel market closed roughly ₦56 above the official rate.
Rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change (BDC) operators and other dealers may differ from the reference rates because of transaction margins and prevailing demand and supply conditions.
Market participants will continue to monitor foreign exchange inflows, dollar demand and CBN policies to see whether the naira can hold steady through the month.
