Moghalu rejects Atiku policy team role, says he was not consulted

Former Central Bank of Nigeria Deputy Governor Kingsley Moghalu has rejected his inclusion in the policy team of Atiku Abubakar’s 2027 presidential campaign, saying he was not consulted.

According to Daily Post, Moghalu said he neither gave consent nor authorised his name to be listed and does not serve Atiku in any advisory capacity.

Moghalu said he has stayed away from partisan politics since 2022 and is neither a member nor sympathiser of any Nigerian political party.

He said he remains committed to Nigeria’s progress through non-partisan work.

His rejection followed Thursday’s announcement of Atiku’s campaign council, where Moghalu was listed in a policy team headed by Mohammed Hayatu-Deen ahead of the 2027 presidential election campaign.
