Miss Jamaica 2025 contestant sues organisers after falling through stage opening

Former Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry has sued the Miss Universe Organisation over a stage fall during the 2025 pageant in Thailand that left her with a brain bleed and other injuries.

According to PUNCH, Henry filed the lawsuit on September 21, accusing the organisation and its parent companies of negligence and infliction of emotional distress.

Henry said she followed rehearsed instructions before falling through an opening in the stage onto a concrete base during the competition in Bangkok.

She lost consciousness and suffered facial and back injuries, requiring intensive care and neurological monitoring.

Henry said the accident could have been prevented with appropriate safety measures.

The Miss Universe Organisation said it had not received the lawsuit and could not comment on the claims.
