KC Luxury, two others face 22-count cocaine trafficking, money laundering charges

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arraigned socialite Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, and two others over the alleged trafficking of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine to London.

According to TheCable, the defendants appeared before the Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday and pleaded not guilty to a 22-count charge covering cocaine trafficking, illegal export and money laundering.

The NDLEA alleged they conspired with two suspects arrested in London to export cocaine in five consignments through a Lagos courier company.

Sixteen counts involve alleged money laundering, including moving billions of naira through companies and personal accounts.

The court ordered the defendants remanded in NDLEA custody and adjourned until October 4 for a ruling on their bail applications.
