CNN left off Trump’s Air Force One trip amid White House media dispute

The White House has excluded CNN from Air Force One for President Donald Trump’s Saturday trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, amid an ongoing dispute over media access.

According to The Associated Press, White House guidance showed CNN was replaced by conservative network Real America’s Voice for the trip, where Trump is scheduled to attend a college football game.

The decision came after a federal judge temporarily blocked an earlier ban preventing CNN, MS NOW and Politico journalists from accessing White House grounds.

However, the court order addressed White House access passes and did not specifically cover Air Force One or press pool assignments.

The affected media organisations argue the restrictions violate First Amendment protections, while the administration maintains White House access is a privilege, not a right.
