EFCC arrests City Boy Movement woman leader Halimat Tejuosho over alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women wing of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence — months after the anti-graft agency declared her wanted in connection with the same fraud investigation.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest to TheCable on Saturday, disclosing that Tejuosho was arrested on September 8.

“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.

The commission had declared Tejuosho, 41, wanted in April, identifying her as a Lagos State indigene whose last known address was House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja. The EFCC had at the time appealed to members of the public with information on her whereabouts to contact its offices or the nearest security agency.

The City Boy Movement is a pro-Tinubu political organisation with chapters across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.
