Kylian Mbappe ruled out for two weeks with knee injury, Real Madrid confirm

Kylian Mbappe will be sidelined for at least two weeks after suffering a knee injury while on international duty with France, Real Madrid have confirmed. According to Gulf News, the forward was diagnosed with a hyperextension of the posterior capsule of his left knee after undergoing medical tests on Saturday.

Mbappe scored before being substituted during France’s 1-0 Nations League victory over Turkey on Friday. France coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed he would not risk the captain in the team’s upcoming Nations League fixtures. Mbappe is expected to miss Real Madrid’s immediate return against Villarreal, but could recover in time for the October 25 El Clasico.
