Roy Keane hints at shock management return after 15 years away

Roy Keane has opened the door to a surprise return to football management, despite spending the past 15 years working largely as a television pundit. Speaking to Daily Express, the former Manchester United captain admitted that his desire to manage remains, describing his “pilot light” as still being on.

Keane, who has been linked with Celtic following their recent struggles, said he sometimes watches matches and believes he could do a job for certain teams. However, the 54-year-old acknowledged the demands involved and revealed he has rejected opportunities in recent years while continuing his broadcasting work with ITV and Sky Sports. Keane last managed Ipswich Town, having previously taken charge of Sunderland.
