33 year old Ngerian dancer dances 7 days—plus 9 extra hours—for world record

LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian dancer Benjamin Daniel has officially completed an extraordinary seven-day dance marathon in Lagos, pushing past his original target to add nine additional hours of continuous performance.

​The 33-year-old artist embarked on the grueling feat in a bid to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual dance marathon. Daniel began his attempt last week, maintaining intense physical energy, stamina, and rhythmic consistency while operating on minimal scheduled rest breaks allowed under Guinness World Record guidelines.

​Upon reaching the seven-day mark—168 hours of non-stop dancing—Daniel surprised supporters and organizers by continuing for an extra nine hours, bringing his total time to 177 hours on the dance floor.

​”I wanted to push beyond the limit and leave no doubt about the dedication and passion behind this effort,” Daniel shared following the completion of his marathon.

​Guinness World Records is currently reviewing the video evidence, timekeeper logs, and independent witness documentation submitted by Daniel’s team before making an official confirmation on the record attempt.
