David Sullivan demands £150m from BBC over sexual misconduct allegations
West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has launched a £150 million High Court lawsuit against the BBC over sexual misconduct allegations broadcast in a Panorama documentary. According to the Telegraph, Sullivan is suing for libel and malicious falsehood over Predator: The Billionaire Football Boss, which aired in June.
Seven women featured in the programme, with six remaining anonymous, and alleged that Sullivan abused his position by pressuring women seeking work in the newspaper industry. Sullivan denies the allegations and claims the broadcast caused severe reputational and financial damage. He resigned as West Ham co-chairman and director before the documentary aired but retains a 38.8 per cent stake in the club.
