The United States Coast Guard has suspended its search for six people aboard a medical transport aircraft that disappeared while flying from Bermuda to Boston.

According to Peoples Gazette, authorities lost contact with the Gulfstream G100 at about 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

“The Coast Guard has suspended its search Sunday, October 4, 2026, for the six passengers aboard the missing medical transport aircraft off the coast of Nantucket,” the agency said.

The aircraft carried four Canadian nationals and two Bermudians. Their next of kin have been notified.

The Coast Guard said its teams and partner agencies searched 4,445 miles over approximately 66 hours without locating the aircraft.

Rear Admiral Matthew Lake said the decision to suspend operations was not taken lightly, adding, “We express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected by the tragedy and our gratitude for our partner agencies who helped support search efforts.”

Authorities said appropriate agencies would investigate the aircraft’s disappearance.
