Moises Caicedo fined £1,444 and given eight penalty points over driving offence
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has been fined £1,444 and handed eight penalty points after being convicted of driving without a valid licence and insurance, according to Tribuna. The Ecuador international was reportedly stopped while driving his £160,000 Audi RSQ8 near Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey, in April 2025.
The case was subsequently heard at Crawley Magistrates’ Court. Caicedo’s eight points could leave him facing a driving ban, adding an off-field concern to his responsibilities at Chelsea. The 24-year-old joined the club from Brighton in 2023 for a reported £115 million and has since become a key figure in the squad. He also helped Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.
