The Super Eagles fought back from two goals down to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw against Russia in Tuesday’s international friendly. According to Soccernet.ng, Nigeria took an early lead through returning striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who marked his comeback with a fine long-range finish in the 10th minute.

Russia responded through Lechi Sadulayev before Matvey Kislyak completed the turnaround shortly before half-time. Aleksey Miranchuk then extended the hosts’ advantage early in the second half. Nigeria reduced the deficit through debutant Peter Edokpolor, whose effort took a deflection on its way into the net.

With defeat looming, Akor Adams produced a late equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time to complete Nigeria’s comeback and secure a six-goal thriller. The Super Eagles now turn their attention to their November 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Tanzania.
