Golden Eaglets arrive Burkina Faso ahead of WAFU-B U-17 Championship
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have arrived in Ouagadougou ahead of the 2026 WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship, which begins on October 10. The five-time world champions departed Abuja on Tuesday and reached Burkina Faso the same day, according to BSN Sports.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Côte d’Ivoire and Niger Republic, while hosts Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic make up Group A. The tournament runs until October 23, with the Golden Eaglets aiming to progress from their group and strengthen their path towards continental qualification.
