At least six people have been killed and 22 others injured after Russia launched massive missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, leaving more than 600,000 residents without electricity.

According to The US Sun, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles and 120 drones, targeting energy facilities and residential buildings in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

The strikes reportedly involved approximately 25 Zircon hypersonic missiles, with several apartment buildings damaged and power plants destroyed.

Zelensky condemned the attacks, accusing Moscow of deliberately undermining US President Donald Trump’s proposed energy ceasefire.

“This was a deliberate Russian ballistic strike specifically targeting energy facilities, an area for which the President of America has called for a ceasefire,” he said.

Trump had earlier announced an immediate energy truce, although Russian and Ukrainian officials denied agreeing to it.

Meanwhile, Russia claimed its forces intercepted 902 Ukrainian drones overnight as attacks continued across both countries.

Emergency workers continued rescue operations amid fears of further casualties.
