You must deliver your states for Tinubu, Wike orders APC govs
Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has warned All Progressives Congress (APC) governors against claiming credit for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election victory in 2027 if they fail to deliver their states.
Wike issued the warning on Wednesday during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
According to Daily Trust, the minister pledged to deliver Rivers State and the FCT, where he serves as campaign coordinator.
“If you don’t deliver your state and the president wins, don’t say we have won. It is not a question of I am chairman of this, I am secretary of this, I am a member of this.”
Wike expressed confidence that Tinubu’s projects would secure votes across the FCT.
“Rivers and FCT, it is taken. I challenge any area council that can say they don’t see the presence of Mr President,” he stated.
He also challenged presidential Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila to ensure Tinubu wins Lagos.
Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke attended the event, pledging support for Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
