President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to attend All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rallies in 12 states ahead of the 2027 general elections, leaving party leaders to lead activities elsewhere.

According to TheCable, the APC campaign timetable released on Thursday shows that Tinubu will launch his re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24.

The president is subsequently expected in Rivers on November 7, Plateau on November 14, Oyo on November 21, Borno on November 25, Enugu on November 28 and Bauchi on November 29.

December appearances are scheduled for Sokoto on December 5, Delta on December 12 and Kano on December 17.

Tinubu is also expected to visit Adamawa on January 4 and Lagos on January 9, shortly before the presidential election.

The timetable excludes the president from rallies in several other states, where APC officials and campaign representatives will undertake mobilisation activities.

His planned visits include Oyo, Bauchi and Adamawa, states associated with prominent opposition figures.

Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde is the Allied Peoples Movement presidential candidate, while Adamawa is the home state of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress candidate.

Speaking during Wednesday’s inauguration of the APC presidential campaign council in Abuja, Tinubu explained that his official responsibilities would prevent him from attending every rally.

He nevertheless pledged to address voters directly during selected campaign engagements.

Campaign activities are expected to continue across other states without the president present.

The party recently expanded its campaign council, naming Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo among those assigned campaign responsibilities.
