Remi Tinubu: Nigerians who don’t see progress need ‘Tinubu eyeglasses’
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has suggested that Nigerians who cannot see improvements under President Bola Tinubu’s administration may need special eyeglasses to recognise the country’s progress.
According to PUNCH, she made the remarks on Friday during the inauguration of the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a group supporting her husband’s 2027 re-election bid.
“So things are happening in Nigeria, except, you know, those who don’t see; maybe we’ll give them some, you know, Bola Tinubu eyeglasses. We are doing that, JigiBola,” she said.
The First Lady cited improvements at Nigerian airports as evidence of development under the administration.
“I want to get to the airport. I want to travel, you know, so quickly. And you can see our airports too are changing,” she added.
She also expressed hope of leaving Aso Rock in 2031 to enjoy a better Nigeria.
Mrs Tinubu subsequently inaugurated the movement’s headquarters, reaffirming support for her husband’s re-election.
