Rep. Crow names ousting Hegseth as “priority number one”
Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) has named the removal of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth as his “priority number one” if Democrats retake the majority, according to Breitbart. Crow made the remarks on Sunday’s broadcast of CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Host Margaret Brennan asked Crow, who sits on the Intelligence Committee, about a memo from Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. Clayton reported that Iran has substantially increased efforts to target U.S. personnel, with lethal plotting reaching advanced stages in the Middle East and other countries. “Iran remains a danger. Pete Hegseth remains incompetent and is not doing what’s necessary to protect our service members,” Crow responded.
Crow also accused Vladimir Putin and Russia of providing intelligence and targeting to Iran. He noted that Steve Witkoff recently sat across from Putin and called him a “humanitarian,” while Donald Trump “lifted and eased sanctions” on Russia. “Donald Trump needs to stop because he is putting our service members at risk,” Crow said.
