Trump Communications Director Cheung floats Nicki Minaj as next White House Press Secretary after Air Force One talks
Rapper Nicki Minaj is drawing speculation about a White House role after a conversation with Communications Director Steven Cheung aboard Air Force One on Sunday, the Daily Mail reports. Cheung posted the clip and wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ.”
The two were en route to President Donald Trump’s rally in Port Huron, Michigan, where Minaj is expected to speak. Asked about the economy, Minaj said: “Well, we have a president who understands economics first of all.” She continued: “If he can do that himself, with his own finances, surely he knows what to do with the country.” Minaj answered Cheung’s post with two emojis, an American flag and a laughing face.
Minaj also told the Daily Mail: “This election is the most important midterm election of our lifetimes.” Other recent guests on Trump’s campaign swing have included Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Floyd Mayweather, Evander Holyfield and Jason Aldean.
