Kylian Mbappé brace fires Real Madrid to 2-1 El Clasico victory over Barcelona
Real Madrid secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Barcelona in Sunday’s El Clasico, with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice to seal the win.
According to Managing Madrid, Mbappe opened the scoring in the first half after Yan Diomande delivered the ball into the penalty area, with the ball deflecting off the French forward before entering the net.
Barcelona responded after the break through Raphinha, bringing the hosts back into contention. However, Mbappe struck again late in the game following excellent work from Eduardo Camavinga to restore Madrid’s lead and secure the victory.
Madrid entered the contest without suspended Vinicius Junior, while goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois missed the match because of illness, leaving Andriy Lunin to start between the posts.
The victory represented a significant result for Madrid in one of football’s fiercest rivalries, with Mbappe’s decisive finishing and Camavinga’s contribution proving crucial. Madrid’s disciplined defensive display also helped them withstand Barcelona’s pressure and leave with all three points.
