Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – October 28, 2026
VIA VANGUARD:
The naira stayed relatively stable against the dollar in both official and parallel markets on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, helped by central bank liquidity injections and inflows from autonomous channels.
| Market | Rate (₦/$) |
|---|---|
| Official (NFEM) | 1,341.31 – 1,352.87 |
| Parallel – buying | ~1,375 |
| Parallel – selling | ~1,390 |
At the official window, commercial banks and institutional buyers met demand for import bills and capital remittances, with moderate intra-day swings.
Bureau De Change operators in Lagos, Abuja and Kano quoted the parallel rates, keeping the premium over the official window relatively narrow.
Analysts credit disciplined monetary policy, steady reserves and balanced seasonal demand, and expect trading volumes to hold in the near term.
