Dollar to Naira exchange rate update – October 30, 2026
VIA VANGUARD:
The Naira opened Friday steady across both the official and parallel markets, helped by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) liquidity interventions and healthy diaspora inflows.
| Market | Buying | Selling |
|---|---|---|
| Official (NFEM) | N1,346.86 | N1,346.86 |
| Parallel (Lagos, Abuja, Kano) | N1,375 | N1,385 |
Importers and commercial banks reported orderly trading, with demand for trade obligations, tuition fees and capital repatriation met through authorized channels.
The gap between the two markets remains narrow. Analysts credit the stability to foreign reserves, which stay well above $55 billion and let the CBN cushion short-term demand shocks. Experts expect trading to stay steady through the day.
