Couple, two toddlers reportedly among nine killed in Florida jet crash
A Texas couple and their two toddlers were reportedly among nine people killed in the Florida Learjet crash, which the NTSB says involved severe weather.
A married couple and their two toddlers were reportedly among the nine people killed when a Learjet crashed near West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, the Daily Mail reports.
The Daily Mail named them as Adam Robinson, 45, and his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, from Texas. According to TMZ, the family was travelling with their nanny and two friends. TMZ also named the captain as Jeff Gregory, 55. Authorities have not confirmed the identities.
Robinson worked on Wall Street for 10 years before launching an AI startup, GetEmail, according to an online profile. Sharp is a ceramicist.
The Palm Beach Post spoke to the father of one victim, who said: “It’s quite a blow. We had a daughter, her husband and two grandchildren on the plane.”
At a press conference on Monday, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said severe weather was a “significant factor” in the crash. It said part of the jet appeared to have broken off before impact.
