A teenager has been charged with the murder of a ‘beautiful’ schoolgirl who was stabbed to death in Northumberland.
Holly Newton, 15, was named as the victim of Friday’s attack in the Priestpopple area of Hexham.
She was discovered inured shortly after 5.10pm and despite the efforts of doctors, later died in hospital.
A 16-year-old boy, who was also taken to hospital, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and is currently in a stable condition.
Another 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is scheduled to appear before magistrates in Newcastle on Monday…
