The Lagos State Police Command arrested a couple for attempting to sell their two-year-old son to fund their travel to Canada.
The couple, aged 22 and 28, were caught on Tuesday at Isolo General Hospital, where they had gone to sell the child.
The police were alerted by a tip and quickly moved in to rescue the baby, who is now in safe custody.
The couple confessed that they wanted to sell their son to raise funds for the father to travel to Canada for better opportunities, and the police are still investigating the incident.
