Chris Sutton reckons Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s Arsenal career looks over under Mikel Arteta and should be stripped of his captaincy.

The club captain was left out of the Gunners’ squad for their Premier League clash against Southampton due to a disciplinary breach.

Mikel Arteta confirmed the decision before kick-off at the Emirates.

The Spaniard said: “Unfortunately due to a disciplinary breach. I think we have been very consistent that we have certain non-negotiables in the team that we have set ourselves as a club, and he’s not involved today.”

Aubameyang’s future has been up in the air and this incident could be the last straw for the Gabon international.

And Sutton believes his Gunners career is coming to an end as long as Arteta is at the club and the captain’s armband will be taken off him.
