DAILY CANNON
Ryan Taylor broke the news on Monday morning that Arsenal’s Marquinhos is joining Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season.
The Brazilian youngster has been given the green light to travel to Norwich for his medical, with the deal likely to be completed within 24 hours.
Kaya Kaynak of Football.London backed up these reports, writing that Marquinhos is travelling on Monday to finalise his loan to Norwich.
Marquinhos made an excellent start to his Arsenal career, scoring one and assisting one on his debut against FC Zurich.
But the 69 minutes he played that day remains his longest appearance for the first team, with his six games in all competitions totalling 218 minutes. Just one of those minutes was in the Premier League.
Marquinhos has dropped down to the Arsenal u21s on occasion, but he’s consistently shown he’s too good for that level, directly contributing to six goals in five games.
