Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, has shared a cryptic message on Twitter following singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, move to terminate his contract with the latter’s record label, Marlian Records.
In a letter dated Tuesday, October 24, Mohbad through his lawyers served Naira Marley, with notice of contract termination.
In the letter “Termination Notice”, the lawyers claimed Naira Marley orchestrated and carried out violent attacks on their client.
The letter also stated that Naira Marley has failed to pay all royalties and advances due to Mohbad as agreed in the contract entered into in 2019.
Reacting in a Twitter post on Wednesday, Marley talked about jealousy and insecurity from those who mock other people’s dreams.
“There are some people who put you down in life, mock your dreams, and challenge your personality; they look like winners. But in actual fact, they are only voicing out their insecurities and jealousy. Believe and accept yourself and hold onto what you believe in,” he tweeted.
Recall that during his ordeal with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in February 2022, Mohbad whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, raised an alarm over an alleged threat to his life by Naira Marley and others.
