Barbadian singer Rihanna has expressed desire to collaborate with Nigerian hitmaker, Ayra Starr.
Rihanna, who happens to be Ayra Starr’s idol, left the ‘Commas’ singer in ecstasy over the revelation as she has always wanted to work with her.
Ayra Starr has been very vocal about her desire to work with Rihanna, whom she described as her role model.
Taking a favourable turn for Ayra Starr, the duo met at Rihanna’s recent Fenty event and the billionaire singer indicated intention to work with her.
The duo was caught on tape chatting on the black carpet.
Rihanna told Ayra Starr a cousin in Barbados introduced her music after the Nigerian star announced that the Caribbean island was her “favourite place in the world.”
The mother of two said: “I’ve been hearing of Ayra Starr, I don’t know who but my cousin she was like, ‘Oh my God I got this [song] from Ayra Starr.’ She was obsessed with you.”
She then asked: “Do you have a song with Tems?”
Ayra Starr replied, “That’s my sister. We do have songs but we don’t have a song [out] yet. But soon..”
Rihanna added: “You got an extra verse for me? Call me.”
