US rapper Wiz Khalifa was charged on Sunday with illegal drug possession in after he allegedly consumed on stage.
Rapper Wiz Khalifa has been arrested and charged with illegal drug possession after using marijuana during a performance at the Beach Please! Festival in Romania. According to a press release from the Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors DIICOT, Khalifa was found to be in possession of over 18 grams of cannabis and consumed some of it on stage. The incident occurred during a music festival held in Costinești, Constanța county.
Khalifa and others were taken into custody for questioning early Sunday morning. The rapper was charged with unlawful possession of drugs and subsequently released from custody. In a statement addressing the incident, Khalifa apologized for any disrespect caused by his actions and expressed gratitude for the respectful treatment he received from Romanian authorities. He also hinted at a possible return to the country but added, “without a big ass joint next time.”
