Cinemas in Nigeria reduce ticket prices to N1000…

The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) has announced that World Cinema Day will be celebrated on September 21, 2024, with discounted movie ticket prices as low as N1,000. This initiative aims to thank Nigerian cinema-goers for their continuous support and encourage more people to visit cinemas across the country.

In a recent interview, CEAN’s National Chairman, Ope Ajayi, highlighted the importance of World Cinema Day in fostering a stronger cinema-going culture in Nigeria. He emphasized that the affordable ticket prices offer a unique opportunity for individuals and families to enjoy quality entertainment at a fraction of the usual cost.

Last year’s inaugural World Cinema Day in Nigeria saw an impressive turnout of 21,500 moviegoers, attributed to the affordable ticket prices that made cinema experiences accessible to a wider audience. As the second edition of this event approaches, CEAN expects an even greater level of participation from movie enthusiasts across the nation.

The World Cinema Day initiative is a testament to the growing appreciation for the cinematic arts in Nigeria, as well as the commitment of industry stakeholders to make movie-going experiences more accessible to the general public.
