The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will be held in Morocco from July 5, 2025, to July 26, 2025, just before the men’s tournament.
The announcement puts an end to speculation about the scheduling of both tournaments, which had faced postponements in the past.
Morocco will host both the AFCON and WAFCON tournaments, showcasing the country’s capability to host major football events.
