A Federal High Court in Kano has nullified the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano, as well as all subsequent actions that followed the reinstatement.
This decision was made after the court reviewed the evidence and concluded that the respondents (the Kano State government) acted in violation of the court’s order to maintain the status quo..
The presiding judge noted that the respondents’ failure to comply with the court order was a very serious matter and emphasized that due processes should be followed in such matters.
