The Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Refinery, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) now owns only a 7.2% stake in the refinery, down from the initial 20%.
Dangote shared this update while briefing journalists in Lagos State on Sunday. He explained, “NNPC no longer owns a 20% stake in the Dangote refinery. They were supposed to pay their balance in June but have not yet fulfilled their obligations. As a result, they now only hold a 7.2% stake in the refinery.”
