The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of Linus Williams, better known as BLord, the Chief Executive Officer of Blord group of companies and a renowned cryptocurrency billionaire. Blord was apprehended in Abuja on Tuesday, July 16, following allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and aiding internet fraud against his firms.
In a statement, police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi stated that the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) and the NPF-NCCC are currently investigating complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology. These allegations include cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
