The Lagos state government says construction of the proposed fourth mainland bridge is now estimated to cost $2.5 billion.
Ope George, director-general of the state office of public private partnership (PPP), said this during a ministerial briefing to commemorate the second anniversary of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, on Wednesday.
The project was proposed in 2006 and a sum of $2.2 billion was earmarked for it in the 2017 Lagos state budget.
