EXCLUSIVE Picture of dogwalker, 36, 'choke slammed' by school kids

The first image has been released of a man who was allegedly beaten to death by a gang of schoolchildren in a row over his dog.

The dogwalker, identified by relatives as John Hackett, 36, was said to have been ‘choke slammed’ to the ground and then punched and kicked repeatedly by the group in a park in Nuneaton, Warwickshire

It is claimed Mr Hackett was set upon by the kids following a row after he either allegedly refused to pick up the mess his dog left behind, or after a stick he had thrown for his pet hit one of the children.

It comes as two 15-year-old boys and one 15-year-old girl have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

A female neighbour told MailOnline that two girls allegedly shouted at Mr Hackett before ‘it all kicked off’ in Snow Hill Recreation Ground on Tuesday evening. 

Locals claimed that a sickening video of the brutal attack was posted on social media but has since been removed.

A bar worker called the footage ‘disgusting’, adding: ‘The poor bloke didn’t deserve that.’

Mr Hackett is believed to have been a carer for his mother. He reportedly struggled on the short walk home before his mother found him dead in bed the next morning, according to a neighbour.
