A police officer has been filmed putting a man in a chokehold and repeatedly punching him in the face during an arrest.
The footage, taken by an eyewitness, was shared on Twitter and has quickly gone viral.
In the first clip, a man in black clothing is seen lying on the grass in a front garden while an officer wraps his arm around his neck.
A female police officer in a high-vis jacket stays at the back to assist her colleague.
The man appeared to be yelling as the officer punches the side of his head at least nine times.
The second video captures the moment the officers take the man to the police vehicle.
“Ah, oh my God!” a woman behind the camera gasped, showing the man’s face completely disfigured.
He has cuts on his face and could barely open his eyes…
