Bizarre reason man opens brother’s coffin, cuts ear off mid-funeral and hides it in fridge

A man has revealed the shocking reason he cut off his brother’s ear at this funeral.

Jian Zhong Li from Sydney Australia, snuck with his son to his brother’s coffin on the day he was to be laid to rest, opened the coffin and snipped off part of his ear. He claims he had “no other choice” in a desparate final bid to prove his nephew was illegitimate.

He was convinced that his nephew Cheng Zhang Li, the son of his brother Jian Ming Li who died of a lung condition aged 58, was illegitimate because of the “suspicious” beard he was able to grow. Were this to be true Cheng would no longer have been entitled to the dead man’s inheritance, which included a million-dollar home in a desirable suburb of southwest Sydney called Petersham. He did not leave a valid will.

In the end his crimes, carried out in 2022, were all for nothing. He was charged with interfering with the body but has now revealed his motivation for doing so. He claimed he had asked Cheng for a DNA test, but when he had refused felt obliged to take matters into his own hands.
