Don Lemon sues Elon Musk and X for fraud and breach of contract over cancelled show

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has taken legal action against tech billionaire Elon Musk and his social media platform X, filing a lawsuit over a canceled video series that was set to air on the platform. Lemon’s lawsuit alleges that Musk and X executives misled him about the nature of their business arrangement, ultimately resulting in the show’s cancellation.

The show, “The Don Lemon Show,” was intended to be a platform for Lemon’s exclusive interviews and content. The agreement between Lemon and X included an annual payment of $1.5 million for Lemon, as well as a share of advertising revenue and additional cash incentives based on the growth of his follower count.

Lemon alleges that the deal was abruptly terminated after a contentious interview with Musk, during which Lemon questioned Musk about his drug use and political views. Despite not signing a contract, Lemon claims that Musk assured him there was no need for paperwork and that X would financially support the show regardless of any disagreements over the content.

With his lawsuit, Lemon accuses Musk and X of fraud and breach of contract, arguing that he was misled about the terms of their agreement and the level of support he would receive from the platform. Lemon’s legal team hopes to recover damages resulting from the canceled show and the damage to his reputation.

As of now, neither Elon Musk nor X has released an official statement in response to the lawsuit.
