Former Lagos State commissioner, Ogundimu is dead

A two-time commissioner in Lagos State, Dr. Olusegun Olu­watoberu Ogundimu is dead, aged 71 years.According to the statement signed by his son, Oluwadami­lola Ogundimu and made avail­able to journalists in Lagos, Ogundimu was  a “strong  advo­cate of democratic governance aimed at promoting healthcare development in the country.”

The family further disclosed that the late medical doctor and former Commissioner would be buried on Thursday, August 12th 2021, in Lagos.

Ogundimu, as a commis­sioner during the military ad­ministration of Buba Marwa, embarked on numerous health programmes that promoted the healthcare delivery system in Lagos State, particularly for the benefit of grassroots people.

He was appointed member, Lagos State Hospital Inspec­torate Committee in 1985, Chair­man, Lagos State Water Corpo­ration in 1992 – 1994, member TaskForce, Traffic Decongestion and Control, Lagos State in 1993..
