Group dismisses allegations against sports minister, Dare

A group regarded as “The authentic Ojo Ola Oyo” has denied knowledge of the allegations leveled against the Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare by unscrupulous elements claiming to be members of the group.

The group in a statement on Thursday by its President, Comrade Adewale Adesope said the issuer of the statement was only out to cause disaffection among the core progressives.

A statement issued by the group reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a trending news item particularly in the social media by a group called Oojo Ola Oyo accusing the Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare of anti-party activities. The group, had in a statement attacked the personality of the minister, libeled him on fundamental issues.

“We run a social-political group named Ojo Ola Oyo founded by Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan. It was launched on August 12, 2018 preparatory to the gubernatorial bid of our Founder. (Oyo 2019: Olaosebikan Launches “Ojo Ola Oyo”, Urges Youth to Join Politics. Insideoyo, August, 13, 2018).
