Make life easier for Nigerians, Peller urges Tinubu

A former member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller, has called on President Bola Tinubu to put in place measures that would make life easy for Nigerns.
His plea is coming as protests have started springing up in parts of the country as a result of the hardship and the rising cost of living in the country.
On Monday, some group of women blocked the Minna-Bida Road at the popular Kpakungu Roundabout in Niger State, calling on the government to address the hardship in the land.
Similarly, Kano residents on Thursday stormed Katsina-Kano Road to express their displeasure over the high cost of living in the country.

Peller, in a statement on Friday, urged the President to alleviate the hardships being faced by the citizens.

He advised Tinubu to focus on creating an enabling environment for businesses as well as tackling food insecurity in the country.

To overcome food insecurity, Peller urged the President to see to the well-being and safety of farmers.

The statement partly read, “You should always remember that the masses have entrusted you with a leadership position, it is your priority to lessen their problems and make life easier for them, and not the other way round.

Though leading a diverse country like Nigeria may not be that easy, you must rise to the challenge and rekindle the hope of the masses as promised by the Renewed Hope administration.

“Importantly, the government must focus on enhancing the farming business because food security is as important as the security of lives and others.

“To achieve this, the government must ensure the well-being and safety of our farmers. If we are able to give the farmers and masses at large a secure and conducive environment to thrive, we will achieve a more peaceful Nigeria devoid of ethnic, religious and political crises.”
