Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria and the Presidential Candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the previous election, has urged President Bola Tinubu to consider adopting the economic reforms implemented by Argentina’s leader, Javier Milei, as a means to steer Nigeria towards progress.
In a statement posted on his social media platform, Atiku highlighted the parallels between the economic challenges faced by Nigeria and Argentina, noting that both nations inherited troubled economies but pursued different paths to recovery.
Atiku emphasized that despite inheriting a more dire economic situation than Nigeria, President Milei’s initiatives have begun to restore investor confidence in Argentina. He urged Tinubu to take note of these strategies as potential solutions for Nigeria’s economic revival.
