ExxonMobil’s Managing Director, Shane Harris, has clarified the multinational oil and gas company’s stance on its operations in Nigeria. In a meeting with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Harris emphasized ExxonMobil’s intention to remain in Nigeria and its commitment to investing in the nation’s energy sector.
The oil major assured Lokpobiri that the company is actively working with the Nigerian government to create a conducive environment for sustainable growth and development, putting to rest rumors of ExxonMobil’s departure from the country.
