Ghanaian chef apologizes for faking Guinness World Record, expresses deep regret

Ebenezer Smith, also known as Millennium Chef Smith, a Ghanaian chef, has admitted to forging a Guinness World Record certificate for a cooking marathon and says he doesn’t deserve to live due to his disgraceful actions.

Smith was arrested and detained for presenting a fake certificate claiming a record for an 820-hour cook-a-thon, but the actual record holder is Alan Fisher from Ireland.

Smith claimed he committed the fraud due to his desire for a platform to showcase his culinary skills and secure a permanent means of livelihood, but admitted he did not follow the proper application process with Guinness World Records.

Smith expressed remorse for deceiving his sponsors and the public, saying “words won’t be enough” and that he doesn’t deserve to live due to the shame he has brought upon himself and others.
