Tinubu visits Borno to assess flood damage

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu visited Maiduguri, Borno State, to condolence the recent flood disaster. He visited an emergency camp and assured displaced people that his government would provide support.

The President was accompanied by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Agriculture Minister Abubakar Kyari, and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Mele Kyari. The flood began after the Alau Dam overflowed, causing the worst flooding in 30 years.
