A sick killer who raped and beat an eight-year-old girl to death before sawing off her hand has been jailed for 260 years.
Convicted killer Moehydien Pangaker, 57, snatched his victim, Tazne van Wyk, while she was on her way to a sweet shop, before performing the sickening act on February 7, 2020.
His actions have been described by a judge as the “hallmark of predatory behaviour” with a “purely sexual” motivation.
Shockingly, he mutilated Tazne’s body as it was found dumped in a stormwater drain on the motorway in the town of Worcester, in Western Cape, South Africa, 12 days after she went missing.
The little girl’s battered body was found dumped along a highway by local resident and police.
This month, on February 14, judges at the Western Cape High Court in Cape Town sentenced Pangaker to nine life sentences and other charges totalling 259 years and six months.
The evil dad had only been out of jail for five years after serving time for the murder of his own son in 2001, the court heard.
