Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi to make history as the first women to lead House and Senate during presidential address to Congress


Vice President Kamala Harris, who became the first woman — as well as the first Black person and first South Asian person — to hold the role in January, will be sitting on the President’s right as he delivers remarks. And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who became the first woman in her role in 2007, will be on the President’s left.
